Greg Quince

Greg believes there is no such thing as a problem, only an opportunity for a solution. Along with honesty and loyalty, this ethos underpins the values that influence Pothole People’s operating culture.

Greg oversees the whole Pothole People operation, ensuring that the management team are focused, and all staff are working proficiently and cohesively together. Greg is responsible for the purchase of new major equipment, ensuring the team have the latest equipment that is best suited to ensure a superior product finish in a timely manner for all your asphalt needs.

Greg worked in his family company and started out sweeping floors along with an apprenticeship in Diesel & Heavy earthmoving which gave him the grounding for hard, dirty work. After 10 years in the family company he moved from the workshop to the office managing construction jobs.  He continued his career working for a couple of truck dealerships both on the tools and also in administration. Greg holds a Certificate of Civil Engineering and a Contracts Administration for Civil Construction from the University of NSW and has previously owned a battery repair shop in Albion when NiCad batteries were in most use.

Greg is proud of having grown Pothole People from a backyard business to a professional service company that is enjoying year on year growth based mainly on happy customer referrals.

One of Greg’s concerns is the lack of standards in the asphalt industry outside of Government and major contracts. At present anyone can buy asphalt from a plant and lay it for a customer. They may make it look ok, but it will soon fall apart. Whilst he is not a fan of over-regulation he believes a standard would be good protection for customers,

Outside of work Greg’s passion is racing cars and boating around Moreton Bay. He has won 1 endurance championship in 2009 in Production Sports cars and won his class in an endurance race at Mt Panorama Bathurst in 2013. He water ski raced in his early 20s winning many championships. He has 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren who keep him busy.
